A Wonderful Winter’s Day for Clare and Gary’s Wedding Day

Clare and Gary got married on 8th December 2018 with a lovely ceremony in St. Macartin’s Cathedral in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, followed by a beautiful wedding reception at Corick House Hotel and Spa, Clogher, Co. Tyrone.

Hairstyling and make-up were in full swing when I arrived at Clare’s house in Ballinamallard on the morning of her wedding, so I used the time to capture all of the little details of her day. Time was ticking rather for the girls that day and it was soon time for me to leave to capture the boys arriving at the church.

Gary was in fine form, albeit a little nervous, but he was holding himself together well. I got a few shots outside and of the little extra details on the entrance way and then it was bridal party arrival time.

Clare and Gary’s wedding ceremony was lovely, conducted by the popular popular Dean Kenny Hall, and then we were all ready to hit the road to Corick House for the evening reception. We stopped off at Clare’s grandfather’s house to get a few shots with him as he was unable to make it to the Church, so it was lovely to capture him seeing his granddaughter on her special day!

Race to Beat the Dark

So we arrived at Corick House and Spa with light fading quickly – which is normal for winter weddings anyway but as we approach winter solstice the amount of light about is very scarce and fades even more quickly than normal.

We still managed to get all of the family portraits done, a beautiful bride and groom portrait session and then some beautiful indoor shots of Clare and Gary, which was one of her requests – on the staircase of the hotel and the Christmas decorations. All of the beautifully captured portraits show naturally happy looking people, which is definitely one of my trademarks.

Say I Love You Every Day

Before gathering the guests for their wedding meal, I had time to capture to lovely details Clare and Gary had on the way into their function room. There was the most gorgeous board dedicated to their time together and their love for each other, full of photos, happy memories and cute little sayings.

On the table housing their guest book, someone had already written some wise words of wisdom to help them through their marriage journey together.

Their speeches were both moving in some parts and full of laughter in others. Altogether, they look like a great couple and two happy families celebrating Clare and Gary’s love for each other.
